25 Humiliator, 26 All-Hearing, 27 All-Seeing

  1. Al-Mudhill: The Humiliator, The Giver of Dishonor

Symbol:        A stooped over person

God says, “I offer you everlasting honor, not the fleeting honor of this passing world.”

Dear God, You are The Humiliator and The Giver of Dishonor.

Paradoxically, You bring me down so You can raise me up.

You provide me with what I need, be it honor or dishonor.

Everything comes from Your hand.

When I look into the mirror of dishonor, I see the image of myself without You.

You allow me to humiliate myself in the eyes of other people

So that I will turn and return to You,

Fame and honor are hollow triumphs.

You alone endure.

Thank You for the gift of dishonor.
I am sorry for the times I deserved this gift.

Help me show honor to You and to other people.

  1. As-Sami: The All-Hearing

Symbol:        A radio-telescope antenna

God says, “Not a word escapes my notice.”

Dear God, You are The All-Hearing,

You hear and understand every language.

You hear the whispers of the heart.

The generous and holy desires often denied.

The moaned or screamed cries for justice.

The laughter of joy.

The weeping of sorrow.

Even the prayers that You cannot answer.

Yet I am often deaf.

Thank You, Loving Listener.
I am sorry that I am often inattentive and deaf.

Help me learn to listen.

  1. Al-Basir: The All-Seeing

Symbol:        An owl

God says, “Not a deed escapes my vision.”

Dear God, You are The All-Seeing.

You see from within, not only from above.

You wear Your eyes on ten trillion living beings.

You see all because You are in all.

Quantum God, Determiner of the Indeterminate,

Your seeing locks the universe into stability.

To see is to understand.

And I am sometimes sightless.

Thank You for Your sustaining vision.
I am sorry that I am often inattentive and blind.

Help me learn to see.
